BIOGRAPHY - Salome Azar
Salomeh Azar (“Arabian Nights Belly Dance”) Salomeh Azar is a popular master instructor and performer of Arabic, Egyptian and American Cabaret styles of belly dance. She is known for her charisma, technique and artistic presentation of the dance, based upon her extensive studies with numerous master instructors in the field of Oriental dance. In 2004, The Kismet Dancers of Miami designated her as the recipient of their annual Award of Distinction for her excellence as a teacher, performer and choreographer in the field of belly dancing. In addition to teaching and performing belly dance, she is the Founder and Director of Troupe Salazar Performing Company and also directs “The Arabian Nights Dancers”, a student performing troupe. She is affiliated with Festival on the Nile in Orlando, FL, Central Florida’s premier belly dance convention, as their Production Manager. She recently released her first instructional dvd for belly dancers entitled “Wings Basics” which features her techniques for working with Isis Wings. Salomeh Azar believes in promoting the art and beauty of belly dancing through education and performance.
